FAQ
Ordering & Shipping
Where do your products ship from?
Our products ship from multiple locations depending on the item. Most botanicals and herbal products ship from the United States. Certain specialty items such as Kambo, fresh decoction pastes, and ceremonial items may ship directly from Peru via DHL or registered international post.
How long does shipping take?
Domestic U.S. orders typically arrive within 5–7 business days. International shipments from Peru arrive within 2–6 weeks depending on the shipping method selected and customs processing in your country.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. Please note that certain products may be subject to customs regulations in your country. It is the buyer's responsibility to verify the legality of importing any product into their jurisdiction.
What is your minimum order?
Our standard minimum order is 1 kilogram for most herbal products. For certain specialty items like Kambo, the minimum purchase may be $200 when including products from that category.
Can I track my order?
Yes. Once your order ships, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. If you have not received tracking within 5 business days, please contact us.
Products & Quality
Are your products organic?
Many of our products are wild-crafted, meaning they are harvested from their natural habitat rather than cultivated on farms. Wild-crafted plants are not certified organic, but they grow without pesticides, herbicides, or synthetic fertilizers in their natural ecosystems. We also carry some cultivated products that follow sustainable agricultural practices.
How are your products sourced?
We work directly with indigenous communities, herbalists, and small-scale harvesters across Peru, Brazil, and other regions. Our relationships with these suppliers span over a decade. We prioritize fair compensation, sustainable harvesting practices, and cultural respect in every partnership.
What forms do your herbal products come in?
Depending on the product, we offer: Powder (ground dried plant material), Cut & Sifted (dried and chopped), Paste (thick water-based aqueous extract), and Capsules (encapsulated powder). Each product listing specifies the available forms.
What is a decoction paste?
A decoction paste is a thick, water-based extract made by slowly simmering plant material over 4–5 days at low heat. The result is a concentrated paste that preserves the plant's active compounds. Our pastes are made fresh upon request and typically require one week of preparation time. The concentration ratio is approximately 30:1 — meaning 30 kg of raw plant material produces 1 kg of paste.
How should I store my products?
Store all herbal products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Sealed containers are recommended. Decoction pastes should be refrigerated after opening. Most dried products have a shelf life of 1–2 years when stored properly.
Hapé (Rapé)
What is Hapé?
Hapé (also spelled Rapé) is a sacred shamanic snuff used by indigenous tribes throughout Brazil and Peru. It is made from a base of Nicotiana rustica tobacco combined with various medicinal plants, tree barks, and ashes. Each blend carries unique properties and is traditionally used in ceremony for grounding, clearing, and prayer.
How is Hapé administered?
Hapé is traditionally administered through the nose using a Kuripe (self-applicator) or Tepi (partner-administered pipe). It is blown into each nostril in small amounts. This is a sacred practice in indigenous traditions and should be approached with respect and intention.
Kambo
What is Kambo?
Kambo is the secretion of the Giant Monkey Frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor), used by Matses and other Amazonian tribes traditionally during hunting rituals and for maintaining vitality. We source our Kambo from a Matses family we have worked with for many years who carefully manage frog populations and practice sustainable collection.
How is your Kambo harvested?
Our Kambo provider is a Matses vegetalista and herbalist who values the frogs and cares for population stability. He carefully manages them, avoids the same collection locations in consecutive outings, and teaches about sustainable practices. The frogs are handled gently and released unharmed.
