Why Baby Alpaca?
The term "baby alpaca" doesn't necessarily mean the fiber comes from young animals — it refers to a grade of fiber measuring 22.5 microns or finer. This ultra-soft grade comes from the first shearing of young alpacas or from the finest fibers of adult fleece, particularly from the chest and underbelly where the fiber is softest.
